Conventional storage solutions simply move files from Point A to Point B. These traditional platforms store data files in their complete forms in a centralized location, making the files vulnerable to malicious agents. Nebulr’s technology ensures that we never store a data file in its complete state and never store all the components of a data file on the same server. This makes it impossible for malicious agents to steal our clients data files. Even if our clients’ servers are successfully penetrated, the intruder is only able to gain access to a small fragment of any one file.
Conventional storage platforms often store original data files and the corresponding back-up copies on the same server in their completed forms. When breaking apart data files into pieces, Nebulr’s technology creates back-up copies of each file piece and then distributes these copies across alternating servers. This no fault tolerance system prevents permanent data loss and ensures the complete file remains accessible even during server failures. If a sever crashes while holding an original file piece, that specific piece is replaced by a back-up copy, allowing the completed file to be reassembled at will.
